Rivendell Guesthouse - Bellingen

From $ 110.0 to $ 150.0

Stylish, traditional B and B in a federation home decorated with antiques.

Rooms open via French windows to shady verandas and picturesque gardens.

By the log fire in winter, the salt water pool or on the cool shady verandah in summer, Rivendell is the perfect place to unwind. Relax with a book, magazine or board game from the extensive library or just sit and watch the local bird life in the pretty gardens.

Rooms are unobtrusively serviced daily and all linen (including fluffy bathrobes) is provided.

For breakfast, freshly ground coffee or a variety of teas, a platter of fresh fruits, a selection of cereals, toast and jams as well as eggs, bacon and baked tomatoes are served either on the verandah, the patio by the pool or in the dining room.

Walk off breakfast with a stroll to one of the many interesting and unique shops, craft outlets or nursery. Take the heritage walk and admire the view over the town and valley from the ridge to the south, or wander through the remnant lowland rainforest on Bat Island with our amazing grey-headed flying fox nursing colony. Cool, clear waterholes dot the riverbanks in the Promised Land and canoeing, golf and horse trail rides are all close by.

Within half an hours drive you can find yourself in the World Heritage listed rainforest on the Dorrigo plateau with its many excellent trails and guided walks or on a pristine white sand beach perfect for swimming, surfing, fishing or walking - without the crowds.

At the end of the day, port and chocolates await your return from dinner at one of Bellingen's fine cafes or restaurants.
