Trilby Station is situated on the banks of the Darling River in Outback New South Wales, near the village of Louth. Trilby Station offers visitors a chance to experience life on a working sheep station.

It is part of historic Dunlop – the first ever station to complete a mechanical shearing in 1888. They have abundant wildlife, nature trails, bird watching, fishing, yabbying, canoeing and excellent mud maps for self exploration of the station. Visit their open air museum of early settler’s farm machinery, steam engines and just enjoy pottering around this vast station.

Comfortable accommodation is offered in the fully renovated Stockman's Cottages and the new Shearer’s Bunkhouse, and delicious country style meals are available on request. Trilby also offers powered caravan sites and secluded river campsites. Your friendly hosts and the picturesque Australian landscape make this a unique experience.

The Shearer's Bunkhouse
The new Shearer's Bunkhouse consists of nine twin share rooms (all beds are made up and have electric blankets), large bathroom/laundry, a communal dining room with slow combustion heating, reverse cycle air-conditioning in six of the bedrooms and fans in all nine, television, DVD and a fully equipped caterers size kitchen with two stoves, fridges, large freezer, microwave, air-conditioning and all pots, pans and camp ovens. The bunkhouse has a large collection of historic prints as well as a good selection of reading matter relating to the history of the property - once part of the million acre Dunlop, first station in the world to complete a mechanical shearing in 1888. See the taxidermied animals including a dingo that was responsible for the deaths of around 200 sheep in 1993. The Darling River is only 100 metres away, and the bunkhouse is set in a garden setting with gas barbecue, gazebo to view the sunsets and a paved camp-fire area. Liz is more than happy to cater for some or all of your meals with her delicious country style meals... please ask.
The Jillaroo's Cottage
The former Jillaroo's Cottage is a fully self-contained, air-conditioned, small two bedroom cottage on the boundary of the Homestead gardens... (Your personal, tiled and heated bathroom is a few steps away) The queen room also has a trundle bed and the second bedroom has two singles. The cottage features polished wooden floors throughout, television, heating, air-conditioning, electric blankets, electric stove, microwave, a patio and outdoor gas barbecue overlooking the landscaped swimming pool. Lz is happy to cater for all or some of your meals.... please ask.
The Overseer's Cottage
The very comfortable and recently renovated two bedrooms, fully self-contained Overseer's Cottage is situated close to the Darling River and has a fully fenced garden. The main bedroom is a double and the second has three single beds, all fully made up. The cottage is fully air-conditioned (reverse cycle and evaporative) and heated, features original polished wooden floorboards and antique furniture, leather lounge suite, television, Austar, electric blankets, microwave, laundry facilities and a gas barbecue outside. Relax on your large patio overlooking the new landscaped salt water swimming pool. Ask Liz about her delicious home cooked, country style meals... which she is happy to deliver to your cottage. Or maybe a hamper to take with you while you are exploring the station with one of her 'mud maps'.

They also offer powered caravan sites with bathroom and laundry facilities, gas barbecue, gazebo and paved campfire area which is only 100 metres from the beautiful Darling River.
Camping Sites
They also offer secluded river campsites dotted along the river bank, with the use of bathroom facilities at the Shearer's Bunkhouse.
