Return to Lord Howe Island

Fresh from a $1.5 million refurbishment, Capella Lodge offers a new way of enjoying the World Heritage beauty of Lord Howe Island. We call it the FIRST luxury lodge in the world's LAST paradise and hope that once you have experienced the new Capella Lodge for yourself you will agree.

Located above picturesque Lover's Bay, Capella is a 9-suite boutique property on the Southern tip of Lord Howe. Spacious Suites feature chic beach house interiors, some with mezzanine lofts and spectacular sea and reef-break views and others with expanded outdoor decks nestled amongst the endemic Kentia Palms. Capella is the only Island accommodations offering incredible lagoon views.

Dramatic enhancements to the main Lodge include the Capella Restaurant, Makambo Bar and intimate Kentia Lounge all with compelling mountain and ocean vistas. The dramatic Gower’s Terrace also includes a heated horizon pool.
