Return to Lord Howe Island

Pinetrees is the ultimate full board holiday resort catering for 85 guests on World Heritage listed, Lord Howe Island and is situated alongside Lagoon Beach. It is close to the surf beach and bowling club. A guest house for over 100 years, this historic property has been passed down to the present owners, fifth generation islanders Pixie Rourke and Kerry McFadyen. Accommodation ranges from comfortable motel-style units with private facilities to luxurious self contained Garden Cottages. There is also a 3 bed cottage and 4 bed cottage for families or groups of friends. Pinetrees is famous for its good food and great service. Pinetrees' professional chefs prepare superb meals from breakfast to dinner, all included in the tariff. There's the best fish you have ever tasted, maybe caught by you that day. There is home made bread, fresh vegetables and delicious desserts. No matter how you choose to spend your day, Pinetrees will pack your lunch - cold picnic style or Australian barbecue, so you can spend all day relaxing at your favourite spot, birdwatching, fishing, snorkelling or just lazing in the sun. Finish the day with drinks at the Pinetrees boatshed watching the sun set over the lagoon, followed by a romantic candle-lit dinner for two or join new-found friends. It's up to you. Pinetrees has an excellent bar, billiard room, lounge with log fire for the cooler months, small library and a well maintained Supergrasse tennis court. Pinetrees is open all year and offers attractive holiday packages with air fares, accommodation, all meals and island transfers. A wonderful programme of jazz is held each year during June, July and August.
