Return to Yamba

Where the Clarence River meets the sea, Yamba & Iluka headlands welcome you to the sub-tropical Clarence Coast. Encompassing 100 islands, Clarence River estuary & coastline comprise one of the most unique, diverse & pristine coastal environments in the world.

Just inside the mouth of the River, set on 130 acres of parkland and forest, Clarence Coast Resort takes pride of place between the major towns of Yamba and Maclean on the Clarence River at Palmers Island.

Palmers Island is the second largest of all islands in the Clarence. It is ideally situated close enough to towns to have access to all facilities, yet far enough away to maintain the completely peaceful and secluded atmosphere you are really looking for.

Kangaroos feed at the forest edge early in the morning and over 70 species of native birds can be seen at various times through the seasons. If you appreciate a natural environment, you'll love the Clarence Coast Resort
