The first of its type in the Northern Territory, this bed and breakfast is housed in a heritage listed building built in 1952. The residence comprises of five rentable rooms, one former maids room (now the managers room and office), three bathrooms, a breakfast area, a formal dining room and lounge, and a large kitchen.

Historic Retreat is surrounded by open tropical grounds, and is located in the centre of town overlooking beautiful Central Park. Relax and dine-in for a home cooked meal or visit the local Batchelor eating houses on an evening out. Historic Retreat offers you the opportunity to experience a touch of how it was to live in Batchelor in the early 1950s with a large collection of antiques, rare and fine furniture, period collectables, and memorabilia from the surrounding area.

Enjoy your stay and take advantage of the ease of access to many local attractions, such as Litchfield National Park, Rum Jungle and Adelaide River.

King Triple
The king triple room has plenty of space and character, and accommodates up to three people. This large deluxe room contains a king size bed and a single bed, and enjoys garden views.
Bunk Twin
The bunk twin room has front and rear garden views, and contains a set of bunk beds.
King Twin
The king twin room has king beds as well as front and rear tropical garden views.
Deluxe King Twin
The deluxe king twin offers a bed that can be separated into two king single beds, as well as a semi-ensuite and a balcony overlooking the tropical gardens.
Deluxe Suite
The deluxe suite is the best room in the residence, and sleeps up to three people comfortably. There is a semi-ensuite with complimentary toiletries, whilst the king bed that separates into two king single beds, and another single bed. There are views of the rear and front gardens, and the room displays a selection of antiques.
