The first of its type in the Northern Territory, this bed and breakfast is housed in a heritage listed building built in 1952. The residence comprises of five rentable rooms, one former maids room (now the managers room and office), three bathrooms, a breakfast area, a formal dining room and lounge, and a large kitchen.
Historic Retreat is surrounded by open tropical grounds, and is located in the centre of town overlooking beautiful Central Park. Relax and dine-in for a home cooked meal or visit the local Batchelor eating houses on an evening out. Historic Retreat offers you the opportunity to experience a touch of how it was to live in Batchelor in the early 1950s with a large collection of antiques, rare and fine furniture, period collectables, and memorabilia from the surrounding area.

- The king triple room has plenty of space and character, and accommodates up to three people. This large deluxe room contains a king size bed and a single bed, and enjoys garden views.

- The deluxe suite is the best room in the residence, and sleeps up to three people comfortably.
