Wirrealpa Station is a 1,600 square kilometre sheep and cattle station situated on the east side of the Flinders Ranges, 35 kilometres east of Blinman. It is a family owned property. Five generations have lived in the area. The house was originally built as family home. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere with modern conveniences and fabulous views. It is fully self-contained and powered by an integrated solar generator. It accommodates up to six people. Linen, laundry and barbecue facilities are provided.
One of Wirrealpa’s attractions is the view of outback plains from the Flinders Ranges. It is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna common to both hills and plains. Wirrealpa has several world-class fossil locations, the Grindstone Range and also some Aboriginal carvings. The owners have been involved over many years with Landcare projects and are now involved in “EMU” – Ecosystem Management Understanding.
There are several private tracks and walks for guests to experience.
Wirrealpa is centrally located within a half hour of well known attractions like Chambers Gorge, Wilkawillina Gorge, Blinman and Parachilna Gorge.
“Fly-in” guests are welcome and catering is available on request.
