The Elimatta Motor Inn offers motel ensuite accommodation at Devonport on Tasmania’s north coast.

The Elimatta Motor Inn is situated on the esplanade of the Mersey River within 15 minutes stroll of Devonport’s central business district. It has 22 ensuite rooms with telephone, electric blankets, tea and coffee making facilities and car parking.

The Elimatta Motor Inn has a bistro, public bar with eight ball tables, and a gaming room.

In Devonport visit the Regional Gallery and the Maritime Museum, Tiagarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre, historic Home Hill, the residence of Tasmania’s only Prime Minister, Joseph Lyons.

Just outside Devonport take a steam train ride along the Don River. Nearby Latrobe offers up antique shops, chocolate tasting at Anvers Chocolate Factory, a platypus encounter and a visit to the Axeman’s Hall of Fame and Trout Centre, just to name a few.

Further inland are the towns of Railton known as the Town of Topiary with more than 100 topiaries, its also home to Looking Glass Cottage antiques and collectables, and Sheffield is known as the Town of Murals with over 45 murals showing the history of the region. Visit Aunty Iris’ Doll Museum with over 1500 dolls dating from the 1800’.
