Return to Flinders Island

The Interstate Hotel provides hotel, en suite and budget accommodation at Whitemark on Flinders Island.

Comfortable en suite accommodation is suitable for both singles and couples. There are also rooms available for travellers who are budget-conscious. The historic 1911 Interstate Hotel has been refurbished to bring it back to the classic days of old. The fine family-owned hotel is still the centre for most activities on Flinders Island and is close to beaches and other recreational facilities. You’ll be glad to have breakfast and dinner supplied as you will want to enjoy the beautiful silver beaches, bushwalks and history of the island.

The fishing, snorkelling and diving are superb - charter a boat or take a tour on the Strait Lady, which also visits the mutton bird rookeries at dusk in summer. After a full day, relax in the guest lounge and enjoy the famous pub roast on Saturday nights. The public bar is open seven days a week. Come along and meet the locals on a Friday night and enjoy the island hospitality. From the verandah you will have magnificent views of the Strezelcki Ranges.

Flinders Island is a 45-minute flight away from Launceston or Melbourne.
