Return to Flinders Island

Silas Beach provides self-contained accommodation at Lady Barron on Flinders Island, north-east of Tasmania.

Silas Beach is a quaint beach house with three bedrooms. The house can comfortably accommodate up to six guests and has a fully-equipped open plan kitchen. The spacious living and dining area has front and rear verandahs offering exceptional views of the islands of Franklin Sound. Silas Beach is appointed with quality furnishings, built-in wardrobes and the convenience of a well-equipped laundry.

Marvel at the view, stretching from Yellow Beach across Adelaide Bay to the Strzelecki Peaks. Set on a small point surrounded by coastal reserve, Silas Beach is ideally located to explore the rugged beauty of Flinders Island. Wander down your own track to a secluded beach and explore the bays. Some fascinating rock formations can be found, with the various lichens providing a dramatic effect. A short walk will take you to the local hotel, general store and Lady Barron wharf. Cast in a fishing line and see if you can hook yourself some dinner. In the evening, enjoy spectacular sunsets over the Franklin Sound from your balcony.

Flinders Island is a 45-minute flight from Launceston or Melbourne.
