The Welcome Stranger Hotel offers affordable en-suite and backpacker accommodation in Hobart’s city centre.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable with colour television, phone, tea and coffee facilities, refrigerator, and secure off street parking.

The backpacker’s accommodation consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large lounge area with colour television, and a fully equipped kitchen.

The Welcome Stranger Hotel has Wood fired Pizza’s, gaming room and eight ball in a comfortable lounge bar, with a warm friendly atmosphere.

The Welcome Stranger Hotel is situated directly opposite St David’s Park, Salamanca Place – the home of the famous Salamanca Market every Saturday, and to many galleries, curio shops and restaurants.

It’s a short stroll to historic Battery Point and Hobart’s docks and waterfront where there’s great cafe’s, restaurants, nightclubs and the opportunity to book a cruise on the Derwent River; cruise up the river to Cadburys chocolate factory or Morilla Estate for some wine and beer tasting, or down the river to Peppermint Bay or Port Arthur, or a cruise in the harbour. The city shops, cinemas, museums and library are also just a short walk away.

All together a very practical and convenient place to stay while in Hobart.
