Springfield Deer Farm - Mole Creek

Springfield Deer Farm cottage accommodation is near Deloraine, Cradle Mountain, limestone caves at Mole Creek.

The cottage sleeps up to five guests and has a double bedroom, a lounge room with a double sofa bed and a camp bed is available for children. It has its own private bathroom, laundry facilities, kitchen and a verandah with an outdoor setting great for enjoying the view or for a barbeque.

The farm is nestled at the foot of the Great Western Tiers and is a fully working deer farm with about six hundred deer. We can offer guests a venison roast with vegetables for $20 (serves four).

This gourmet food region offers delicacies such as honey, cheese, raspberries, smoked salmon and fruit wines all within 40 minutes drive.

While staying in the area, take time to visit the caves, wildlife park and Sheffield, the town of murals. With Cradle Mountain only ninety minutes away, it’s an ideal location to make a day trip to a region of awesome beauty and inspiration.

Wildlife abounds with black cockatoos attracted by the pines on one side of the cottage and there is at least one Tassie Devil that is a regular visitor after dark.
