Rocking Horse Cottage is situated on two acres at Port Arthur on Tasmania's Tasman Peninsula.
This is the gateway to all tracks, bushwalks and adventure sports on the Peninsula. Located on the banks of Possum Beach it is only two minutes from historic Port Arthur and set amongst orchard and cottage gardens. The Cottage is a two-storey “grand old lady” displaying a façade reminiscent of the Louisiana tradition with glorious sun-drenched views from the iron-laced balcony.
The three units follow a beach holiday theme. ‘Seafarers’ with a nautical feel is a larger double unit on the upper deck with a separate, sunny sitting room and magnificent views.
‘Vikings’, a cosy double unit also on the upper deck, has a Scandinavian theme complete with shuttered windows and a separate sitting area with the same wonderful aspect of garden and sea.
Below decks, ‘Old Salts’, with a colonial cottage theme is a two bedroom family unit sleeping up to seven and featuring polished timber floors, a choice of wood fire or electric heating and up to the minute kitchen with gas stove. The unit is also pet friendly with an enclosed back yard. All units are self-contained
'The Cottage' is a two storey fairytale gothic themed self contained cottage with two bedrooms.
Guests may enjoy the communal barbecue area and the orchard with seasonal organic fruit of every variety.
