Return to Port Sorell

Shearwater Country Club is located at Port Sorell on Tasmania’s mid north coast.

Rooms are self-contained with kitchenettes, microwaves, dining table & chairs, television, video, and separate bathrooms.

Enjoy the extensive facilities – nine-hole golf course, tennis and squash courts, swimming pool, spa, games room and bicycles for hire. A safe sandy beach is a short walk away and so are shops. Try your luck at sea or river fishing and cook your catch in your kitchen or enjoy a sumptuous meal in the bistro.

The resort is an ideal base for exploring some of the State’s most spectacular wilderness attractions and tourist destinations, whilst offering the perfect place to relax and unwind.

At nearby Narawntapu National Park, at dusk, see rare Forester kangaroos, wombats, pademelons, Bennetts wallabies and Tasmanian devil. For bird lovers – robins, wrens, fantails, golden whistlers, herons, swans, cormorants, and many other water birds.

Visit the vineyards of the Tamar Valley, go on a gourmet adventure cheese tasting, berries, honey, Belgium chocolate…

Shearwater Country Club is within 20 minutes drive of the Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal and Devonport airport.
