Hudson Cottage provides fully self-contained accommodation in the peaceful country village of Ross, Tasmania.

The cottage has two spacious bedrooms with a queen-size bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom. The queen bedroom features a sandstone fireplace and an antique Huon pine chest of drawers. Hudson Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast provisions and a warm combustion wood heater. Laundry facilities are also available and the bathroom has beautifully restored sandstone walls.

Built in the 1850s, you can relax in the ambience of your convict-built cottage. Enjoy the antique furniture and sip on complimentary port. Venture out for a stroll along historic Church Street and take in the majestic sandstone buildings. Once a bustling garrison town, the peaceful village is now an ideal retreat for a quiet cup of tea. Walk over the famous Ross Bridge and notice convict carvings on the arches. Spend a day trout fishing locally or at any number of lakes in the Midlands region. Retreat back to your sandstone cottage for dinner or book in for an evening meal at a nearby restaurant.

The cottage is approximately an hours’ drive from Launceston, south along the Midlands Highway (78 kilometres/48 miles).
