Captain's Cottage (circa 1832) is a self-contained seaside cottage in historic Stanley, in Tasmania’s north-west. From the cottage guest can enjoy a short walk to the beach, shops, chairlift to the Nut, restaurants and all the attractions within Stanley.

The romantic, colonial ambience of the queen room and the two twin rooms sleeps up to six guests. The bathroom consists of a double claw-foot bath, double shower and the convenience of two toilets. The kitchen and laundry are fully equipped. Generous breakfast provisions are set up prior to your arrival.

Guests will enjoy the comfort and warmth from wood and electric heating, delightful décor and a complete entertainment facility with compact disc player, video and digital recorders and a tape and book library. There are two sitting rooms, (0ne upstairs) furnished with televisions. Two telescopes afford the visitor with beautiful views of the bay and countryside.

Visitors to the cottage will appreciate the central locality, water views and excellent off street undercover parking. Consider cruising the Arthur River, Woolnorth Tours, experiencing Dismal Swamp or historic Highfield, enjoy a wildlife tour, seal cruises, or a coastal walk.

One visit won’t be enough to see and do it all.
