Old Cable Station provides comfortable, historic, stylish bed and breakfast and self-contained accommodation at Stanley. (Formerly a tele-communications centre c.1935)

A choice of king-size, twin or double beds, all rooms have ensuite bathrooms. A luxury spa suite is also available.

Situated on the north west coast of Tasmania, surrounded by 300 hectares of rolling green fields, over-looking Bass Strait and Three Hummock Island, the Old Cable Station is truly a country and coastal experience. Relax, unwind and re-energize as all your needs are catered for with a fully licensed restaurant on site. Continental breakfast trays are prepared and delivered to your room in the evening for your convenience.

The restaurant (open November- April) sources fresh local seasonal produce, including scallops, octopus and crayfish from the local deep water fishing port of Stanley. The menu is set with a two course or three course option and the wine list features boutique Tasmanian producers.

Clean sandy white beaches are five minutes away where black swans and other water birds linger and fairy penguins can be seen at night.

A superb base for exploring Stanley, and experiencing other eco- adventures at the ‘edge of the world’.
