Palm Tree Spa Cottage offers self-contained, colonial-style accommodation at Stanley, north west Tasmania. Stanley is a classified historic town, one-and-a-half hours from Devonport, (127 km) and a two-and-a-half hour drive from Launceston (231 km).

Built in 1895, Palm Tree Spa Cottage is a beautifully restored, two-bedroom weatherboard house which can accommodate up to six adults. The Cottage has been luxuriously decorated with colonial-style and antique furniture and fittings. It features four-poster beds, two fireplaces and a large spa bath in the bathroom. The living room has large bay windows, comfortable sofas, and a television, DVD and CD player. There is a fully-equipped kitchen stocked with breakfast provisions, a well-equipped laundry and an outdoor barbecue.

The property is surrounded by fragrant cottage gardens and has wonderful views of the bay, coastline and the Nut—a dramatic geological feature of the area. Discovered by explorers Bass and Flinders in 1798, the 152 metre-high Nut is the stump of an ancient volcano. You can try the challenging climb to the top, or take the chairlift to enjoy breathtaking ocean views.
