Return to Castlemaine

High above the town and very close to the centre, but surrounded by wildlife, garden and serenity sits The Yellow House, a recently built house with all the comforts, style and beauty.

The view from here is stunning. The mood is French provincial with Australian influences. Abundant usage of local sandstone, many walled terraces with mass plantings of lavender, olives and oleander as well as old-fashioned roses, complemented by the bush surrounds.

A very relaxing, romantic and comfortable location. Our rooms are with separate entrances, ensuite and private terraces. French antiques, fresh decor and artistic influences. In-house Studio Gallery and ceramics display open to our guests.

For those requiring fully self-contained cottage accommodation, we now offer a studio room, separate from the main house with its own terraces and expansive views.

Also very suited for small groups with the usage of our dedicated guest lounge.

This is definitely not a Victorian or colonial style venue but rather French provincial.
