Return to Daylesford

With absolute lake frontage and boasting magnificent views of Lake Daylesford and Wombat Hill, Ambleside offers luxurious Edwardian accommodation, along with licensed tearooms now open to the public.

Situated in picturesque central Victoria, Daylesford is an easy 80 minute drive from Melbourne.

Featuring 3 spacious ensuited guestrooms and exclusive guest lounge areas, guests are afforded the privacy they deserve. Each guestroom features QS beds, private ensuites, irons, hairdryers, toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities and they are all fully air-conditioned for year round comfort.

One guest room features a gas-log fire, whilst our Lakeview Suite features sliding doors onto a private veranda with stunning views of Lake Daylesford. Two guestrooms also feature an additional single bed for twin share accommodation, or, for a small additional fee, could accommodate a third adult.

Breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the lake with an extensive a-la-carte menu to choose from. Breakfast is included daily.

Our tearooms operate on Sundays afternoons (or by appointment) and serve traditional afternoon teas. For a special occasion, High Tea is also available (by arrangement). A small "sweets & snacks" menu is also available to in-house guests or for those wishing for something more savoury. Indulge in a glass of champers on the veranda and enjoy the best views in town!

Ambleside On The Lake is ideally located on the quiet side of Lake Daylesford and is walking distance to restaurants, galleries and local tourist attractions. Complimentary transfers to local restaurants can be arranged.
