The Bathurst Harness Racing club paceway is located at the Bathurst Show Grounds, opposite the Bathurst Visitor Information Centre on the eastern side of Bathurst central business district, and was launched as a night race meeting venue on 14 November 1953.

The club races 52 times a year with most race meetings hosted as a Wednesday night meeting, with small number of Saturday twilight meetings programmed for 2008/2009. Feature race meetings are hosted in the warmer summer months, and include the annual Bathurst RSL Soldiers Saddle and Shirley Turnbull Memorial in December. The Oberon community race night in January, Star Trek Series in February and the annual 11 day Black Toyota Gold Crown Carnival in March.

Trackside we provide a bar outlet with tote and bookmakers, Gold Crown Restaurant for sit down home-style meals and the Steakhouse providing take-away options. Feature race meeting also see the inclusion of a 'kids entertainment hub' incorporating jumping castle, ice-cream van and Play on Wheels. Throughout the Gold Crown Carnival a trackside marquee is erected providing participants additional catering outlets, and between race entertainment is programmed (ie bank, prize give always and competitions). Private function space is also available for hire to groups on race night and catering can be arranged through the club.
