Art of Bookbinding is a specialised shop specialising in restoration, repair and special commission binding. It offers hand-made stationery and gifts, quills,
calligraphy and bookbinding materials and a large range of imported fine papers to suit every requirement. They also offer courses in bookbinding, book
repair and Kartonnage box making.
Sharing a meticulous eye for detail and a self-confessed love of books, Hugo and Henni van Willigen devote their days to preserving books by applying the
traditional bookbinding methods master craftsman Hugo learned at a Monastery in Diepenveen, Holland, almost thirty years ago. Their priority is to
preserve as much of the original binding as possible, re-backing to restore the original spine or creating a new spine in character with the original.
Family Bibles are a speciality, Hugo’s Monastic training and extensive experience in restoring Bibles will preserve the character of your much loved family
possession. Book-related artefacts and gifts are available for sale.
