Clearview Alpacas - Bowning

Return to Bowning

There are over 100 alpacas and the same number of fine wool merino sheep on the property, together with thousands of native trees, both naturally grown and more recently grown from extensive seeding. The latter includes many kilometres of native trees and shrubs of more than 40 species. These in turn have encouraged a burgeoning of native bird life on the property, including all the spectacular local parrot species, as well as finches, blue wrens and many others.

Features for visitors include the opportunity to get close to alpacas and their baby 'cria', their shorn fleeces and a range of alpaca fleece products, several alternative 'farm walks' to see the different alpaca and sheep flocks, inspect the various native tree plantings and bird life, and to relax and admire the pleasant rural views from various elevated points on the property. The walks are all easy for children, and vary from only 100 meters up to a kilometre or so.

Free tea, coffee and a biscuit always available, and simple picnic facilities are provided. A lake covering about an acre is also on the property.

All terrain vehicle transport available to assist moderately disabled persons to move around the property.

The property is very suitable for horse riding for visitors who may like to bring their own horses.
