Wallingat River Forest Park - Bulahdelah
This 88 hectare park has been developed by the Forestry Commission for recreational use by visitors to Wallingat State Forest. The forest park provides a day picnic area, camping ground; group camping, drinking water, septic toilets, swimming pier, boat ramp and three walking trails. The forest park is also an interest area on the Wallingat Forest Drive, which includes other attractions such as Whoota Whoota Lookout, Sugar Creek Flora Reserve Rainforest Walk and the shelter picnic area. Today the Wallingat and the Bachelor State Forests form part of the Bulahdelah Management Area.
Production of timber (sawlogs, poles, mining timber, and pulp) is regulated so that supplies can be maintained to local industry. Other benefits derived from the management of these forests include public recreation, flora and fauna protection, erosion and water quality control, education, research, grazing, the production of minor forest products and the maintenance of the landscape.
Reserve Rainforest Walk and the shelter picnic area.
