Lady Denman Heritage Complex - Huskisson
The Lady Denman Heritage Complex includes the Maritime Museum, containing a collection of navigation, surveying and marine artefacts of world significance.
The Lady Denman - an old Sydney ferry, was retired in 1979 and was returned to
Huskisson, where she was originally built. A replica from the boat building era, with shed a slipway and harbour may be seen at the complex.
There are picnic and barbecue facilities, mangrove boardwalk, a fish feeding harbour, boat building shed and slipway, museum retail outlet and an aboriginal gallery.
The mangrove boardwalk is wheelchair accessible to the viewing platform.
Markets offering local produce, arts and crafts are held on the first Saturday of the month with entertainment during the morning.
Students can take advantage of the educational features of the complex, with many items of real historical interest.
