Gregory's Tree - Timber Creek
Located in Gregory National Park, 15 kilometres north-west of Timber Creek, a large Boab tree stands at the campsite of Augustus Gregory's 1885 North Australian expedition. It bears inscriptions from that time.
Gregory's Tree has special significance to the local Ngarinman Aboriginal people and is a registered sacred site. Interpretive signs, including sound recordings about the expedition, are located around the boardwalk at the tree.
