Seal Bay Conservation Park - Kingscote
At Seal Bay Conservation Park, you can join one of the regular guided tours and see Australian Sea-lions up-close in their natural environment of coastal vegetation, dunes and beach.
Visitors to Seal Bay can wander along the 400-metre boardwalk to viewing platform, which meanders through the sand dunes, (be on the look out for the skeleton of a Humpback whale often visible from the walkway). The viewing platform and lookouts at the end of the boardwalk provide great opportunities to linger, observe the sea-lions surfing the waves, and enjoy the stunning coastal landscape.
Entry tickets can be purchased from Seal Bay Visitor Information Centre, where you can also browse for souvenirs and learn more about these fascinating creatures. Special pre-sunset tours are also available in summer school holidays.
Seal Bay is a 45-minute drive from Kingscote. Access to the sea-lion colony and beach is by guided tour only.
