Watch an impressive whip cracking demonstration at Simon Martin Whips in Devonport, north-west Tasmania.

This unique country store is keeping the old Australian traditions of whip making and leather craft alive. Visitors can see the work that goes into plaiting up to 48 strands of leather at the one time.

A free whip cracking demonstration is also available on request. If you are an international visitor you will not want to miss this interesting Australian experience. The whips made here are used all over the world by circuses, wild-west entertainers and within Australia by Australian and World Whip Cracking Champions.
