Federation Square

Federation Square opened in October 2002, and was one of the most significant architectural developments undertaken in Melbourne and Australia. Federation Square hosts a number of major attractions, including the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia (the home of Australian Art), 'Champions': Australian Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, the National Design Centre and the Melbourne Visitor Centre.

Guided Tours of Federation Square

Undertake a 1 hour guided tour of Federation Square operating Monday to Saturday at 11am and 2pm. Learn about the architecture, the interesting project development and discover the main attractions within Federation Square.

Only $12 for adults, $10 for concession and $6 for children. Ticket price includes a complimentary tea/coffee at selected cafes in Fed Square. Tickets can be purchased at the Best of Souvenirs counter in the Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square

Upgrade to a tour and lunch package, or enquire about the "Old and New Faces of Melbourne tour combining the Melbourne's Golden Mile Heritage Trail two hour tour, a two course lunch with glass of wine & the Fed Square 1 hour Guided Tour for only $49 adults and $45 concession.

Events

Federation Square has become the major civic and cultural venue for Melbourne, hosting over 2,000 events and activities each year including Australia Day celebrations, Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Melbourne Comedy Festival and many more.

Food and Wine

Melbourne is renowned as a food and wine hub and with more than 15 restaurants and cafes, nowhere is this more evident than at Federation Square. Choose from traditional Asian to contemporary Australian cuisine all of which can be complimented with fine wine, beers and spirits from all over the world.
