Return to Halls Creek

Warlayirti Artists Aboriginal Corporation is located at Balgo Community, 300 kilometres south of Halls Creek and welcomes an increasing number of visitors, art collectors and buyers each year. Warlayirti Artists represents more than three hundred and fifty artists across three communities in the Kutjungka region of north-east Western Australia. These artists include some of Australia’s leading contemporary Indigenous artists, Eubena Nampitjin, Elizabeth Nyumi, Boxer Milner, Tjumpo Tjapanangka and Helicopter Tjungurrayi, as well as a significant number of emerging younger artists.

Warlayirti Artists is one of Australia’s premier Aboriginal Art Centres with an established national and international reputation for acrylic paintings and limited edition prints. The Warlayirti Art Centre is a dynamic place, functioning as a studio space for the artists as well as a gallery for the display and sale of the fine artworks produced.

Warlayirti is on Aboriginal land which means an entry permit is required for visitors. We request that you contact us in advance to arrange your visit to ensure that the proper entry permits can be arranged and that your visit does not clash with times when the Art and Culture Centres are closed for other activities.
