The Gooseberry Hill National Park is located in the Perth Metropolitan Region and is approximately 33 hectares, approximately five kilometres north of Kalamunda and 20 kilometres east of Perth.

The Zig Zag Scenic Drive retraces an old railway track route and embraces the western aspect of Gooseberry Hill boasting extensive views of the coastal plain and the city of Perth.

Vegetation in the Park is predominantly heath land and fauna is mainly micro fauna with a small bird population.

The best time to visit is in the evening to view the lights of Perth city and in the spring for wildflowers.
