DESTINATION: Manuka
Manuka is an upmarket, upbeat, small but thriving wining, dining, coffee-sipping, shopping, movie-going, clubbing scene that buzzes all year round but with additional energy and verve when Parliament sits and all the pollies, their staffers and those who want what they have got, are in town. Restaurant tables overflow onto the streets and are a feature even in winter when gas fires burn to ward off the Canberra cold. For a small precinct, the variety is tremendous. The restaurant scene flirts outrageously with capital tastebuds – Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Turkish, Italian and plenty more. Main Attractions

Coles is open twenty-four hours and Art Oven, the bakery and eatery frequented most by locals, is open around the clock on certain nights and always opens early.
