Blackheath

Blackheath is a historic village in the upper Blue Mountains, named by Governor Macquarie in 1815. The town is also known as 'Rhododendron Town' after the many colourful varieties of this shrub that burst into bloom every November.  Visitors will find a selection of accommodation and places to eat both in and around the Blackheath area.

Attractions in Blackheath include mountain biking on the local trails, shopping for local produce, arts and crafts or taking a self-guided walk on the many bushwalking trails.
