Byron Bay | New South WalesMain AttractionsCape Byron, a rocky promontory 107m high, is the most easterly point in Australia. Cape Byron Lighthouse beams its light over 40km out to sea. A walking trail leads past the lighthouse to the tip of the Cape and the amazing coastal views. In July, humpback whales can be seen as they migrate up the coast and then seen again in September, Whale Festival time, when they make their return journey. Exclusive Wategos Beach is wholly north-facing and therefore very popular with surfers. |
