Tours to Aboriginal art sites in the Wollombi area can be organised through Yarnteen Aboriginal Sites Tours. A museum now occupies the old Police Station and is generally open weekends. Broke is another historic village. Here, there is an interesting pioneer cemetery and several buildings dating back to the 1840s. South of Cessnock are the Watagan Mountains, where the walking tracks lead to views and attractive picnic and BBQ areas.
