DESTINATION: Evans Head

This is an attractive coastal resort town of mostly retired people. It is located between Broadwater and Bundjalung national parks. The headland stands in stark contrast to the surrounding flat countryside. The long beach (6km) affords beach fishing, rock fishing, surfing, sailing and most water sports. Evans Head has a seasonal influx of people escaping the southern winter.
