DESTINATION: Parramatta

Parramatta

Parramatta is situated in Sydney’s Western suburbs and can be reached by ferry ride from Circular Quay.

Parramatta offers a slower pace than the Sydney CBD due to its number of quite parks including Lake Parramatta Reserve in North Parramatta.

Expect a good choice of shopping, Sydney accommodation and excellent international cuisine in and around Parramatta, not to mention the cutting-edge theatre complex and a premier horse-racing venue.

Main Attractions

One of the main attractions to Parramatta is its access to the Sydney CBD via RiverCat, a catamaran ferry that plies the length of Parramatta River.

A walk around Parramatta is also worthwhile with historic homes and churches, Aboriginal artwork and lush gardens just some of the highlights.
