Munmorah SRA is north of Toukley. The area edges Lake Munmorah and the Tasman Sea and encompasses many small beaches. It is worthwhile visiting in spring to see the wildflowers. There are 2 lookouts, both accessed by road. Close to town are many picnic areas: at Canton Beach, facing Tuggerah Lake; at Osborne Park, in Peel St; and in Toukley Gardens, facing Budgewoi Lake. Edward Hargraves, the first man to discover payable gold in Australia, built his all-cedar house in the 1860s. The house, in Elizabeth Dr, Noraville, still stands and can be seen from the road.
