DESTINATION: Tumbarumba

A lovely “old fashioned” townscape makes this district hub particularly picturesque. The creekscape and Bicentennial Gardens are an attractive addition, especially in the autumn. Nearby are Paddy’s River Falls, the Hume & Hovell Walking Track, the Elliott Way to O’Hare’s Rest Area and further on to Tumut 2 Underground Power Station and Cabramurra.

Main Attractions

Tumbafest, Tumbatrek and the New Years Day rodeo are well-known local events growing each year. Tumbarumba is a cool climate wine growing area with twenty nine vineyards. There are many local wine labels as well as grapes being supplied to Southcorp, BRL Hardy and other well known labels. Tumbarumba is an ideal central point from which to explore the entire district.
