DESTINATION: Warrumbungle National Park

Warrumbungle National Park

The most popular national park of central New South Wales is Warrumbungle. Best visited in spring and autumn, the 232kmpark boasts great walking tracks, rugged scenery and 4WD access. It lies on ancient volcanoes, which makes rockclimbing popular, although you need a permit to do so. BBQ, camping, picnic and lookout facilities make it a favourite destination for families.
