Approximately an hour's drive from either Brisbane or the Gold Coast, Beaudesert is located in the middle of a vast region of rainforests, valleys and plains in the Gold Coast hinterland. A major market town, Beaudesert is also known for its dairying, agriculture and beef cattle. Main AttractionsThe Beaudesert Historical Museum is located in Brisbane St and is open daily, 9am-4pm. Exhibits include the Pioneer Cottage, furnished in a style portraying early pioneering life, horse-drawn vehicles and farm implements. A prized exhibit is the buggy the Duchess of York rode in during her visit in 1927. |
