Black Mountain Range and Sky Ring Creek roads provide scenic drives in the surrounding areas. Drive maps are available at the information centre at Noosa Heads. Lake MacDonald, Noosa Shire's water storage area, is close by. Fishing is popular as the lake is well stocked with Murray cod, eels, silver perch and catfish. Picnic and BBQ areas are provided around the shore. Close to the lake are Noosa Botanical Gardens and an amphitheatre that, from time to time, hosts a variety of performances.
