Queensland's Dairy Industry Museum displays trace the history of milk and cheese industries, with an emphasis on the production of butter as the basis of the industry. The museum is located on Gayndah Rd and is open opened every day from 9-30 to 12-30 or by appointment. Next door to the museum is the relocated Trinity Homestead and Castra, the first home to be built in Murgon. |

There are several wineries in the area including; Clovely Estate, Moffatdale Ridge, Tipperary Estate, Rodericks Winery, Dusty Hill and Bridgeman Downs. Cherbourg Aboriginal community is located south of Murgon and boasts the Barambah Emu Farm. This was the very first commercial emu farm in Queensland. Aboriginal artefacts are available for sale. Boat Mountain Environmental Park, 14km north of Murgon, and Jack Smith Scrub CP, 15km NE, offer walking tracks and views.
