Jondaryan Woolshed, 22km NW of Oakey, is over 100 years old and is now an Australian heritage theme park. A complex of historic buildings house vintage machinery and memorabilia which commemorates pioneers of the wool industry. There are sheep-shearing demonstrations and visitors can buy goods at the wool store. National parks, including Girraween, Stanthorpe and Cunningham's Gap are ideal for daytrips as they are within easy reach of the town.
