Tin Can Bay

This small fishing town, 229km north of Brisbane, near Rainbow Beach, is a quiet holiday spot.

Main Attractions

The waters of Tin Can Bay are the town's main attraction and yachting, canoeing or hiring a houseboat are ideal ways of exploring the area. Fishing, crabbing and prawning are rewarding activities. A pod of uncommon Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins (Sina chinensis) come into the bay and can be seen from the Norman Point boat ramp.
