Nearby attractions

The town of Proston, 42km west, is home to Boondooma Dam. This dam provides the district's water supply and is a popular watersports area. The introduction of bass, golden perch and silver perch has made the dam attractive to anglers. Caravan, camping, picnic sites, BBQs and toilets are located in the area. Also located at Proston is Sidcup Castle. Built by Harold Douglas, it is a replica of his childhood home in England. There are 17 rooms in the castle filled with memorabilia.
