Yandina

Yandina is located 9km north of Nambour in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The town is known as the 'Ginger Capital of the World'.


Main Attractions

Visitors are invited to see ginger being processed at the largest Ginger Factory in the world, located along Pioneer Rd. The historic Queensland Cane Train travels through the landscaped gardens. In January, the Ginger Factory hosts the Ginger Flower Festival. The Nutworks Macadamia Factory and Tourist Complex, opposite the Ginger Factory, gives demonstrations of the processing of macadamia nuts and offers tastings.

Nearby attractions

The town of Eumundi, 10km north, is famous for its Saturday morning markets. The markets sell locally-grown fruit and vegetables, as well as arts and crafts. Fresh produce is also available on Wednesdays.
