DESTINATION: Mount Compass

Overlooking the Nangkita and Tooperang valleys, the small farming community of Mount Compass is located less than an hour's drive from Adelaide. The town is known for its warm country hospitality, clean air and rolling hills. The district is renowned for its range of agricultural, aquacultural and horticultural products.

The many art and craft galleries are worth investigating. Australia's only cow race, The Compass Cup, is held in February, and the Mount Compass Agricultural Field Day, in March.
