Cradle Mountain National Park | Tasmania

One of the most famous national parks in Tasmania, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair NP is a precious part of Australia's natural history and wilderness. World Heritage-listed, the national park offers spectacular scenery of rugged mountains, tree-filled gorges, glacial lakes, rainforests and moorlands. Sprawling across 1612km2 in Central North Tasmania, Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair NP is home to many of the state's unique animals, including the Tasmanian devil and quoll.

With possibilities for fishing, walking, rockclimbing, canoeing, windsurfing, cycling and 4WD tours, the park is an exciting source of holiday escapism. With an accessible resort, backpacking and camping facilities, the park is well worth exploring.
