Surrounded by pine plantations, Creswick is ideally positioned between the Goldfields and Spa Country. Main AttractionsCreswick was the birthplace of former Australian Prime Minister, John Curtin and also was home to the artistic Lindsay family. Norman, the most famous member, was born here in 1879. Works by the Lindsays and T G Moyle are exhibited in Creswick Historical Museum, in the Town Hall on Albert St. Walking tour notes, detailing the town's historic buildings, and a booklet on the Buried Rivers of Gold Trail are available. |
